3rd Hardening Evening 2025 - Heat treatment and corrosion resistance of knife steels, lecture by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Paul Rosemann (HTWK Leipzig)
Thu, March 06, 2025The corrosion resistance of knife steels (made of martensitic stainless steels - MNS) is determined by the steel composition and the heat treatment. Systematic investigations on four technically relevant stainless knife steels (X20Cr13, X46Cr13, X50CrMoV15 and X30CrMoN15-1) will be presented in order to clarify the influence of the heat treatment on the corrosion resistance.
