Additive manufacturing

Materials - Processes - Heat treatment

Bremen - 29./30. Juni 2022 - ATLANTIC Hotel Universum

Additive manufacturing has now found its way into industrial practice in the automotive and aerospace industries, as well as in medical technology and general mechanical engineering. In all of these industries, products and their properties are constantly being further developed in order to obtain lighter and more resource-efficient components. In addition to the advantages in terms of individualization and functionalization, these fields of application place the highest demands on product reliability and safety. Additive manufacturing can already achieve much of this today, but there is still a great need for action in research and development, especially in the post-treatment and quality assurance of additively manufactured components.

The AWT conference "Additive Manufacturing Materials - Processes - Heat Treatment" will present the latest research results both from university institutions, but also from the practice of companies and provide an exchange platform for companies and research institutes.
The conference will make an important contribution to the practical implementation of materials science and materials engineering research results in the field of additive manufacturing.
Participation in the conference is rewarding for anyone who wants to find out about the latest industrial developments as well as research results.

Further info on the program, prices and registration can be found here ....

To ensure the required component properties, many additively manufactured components require heat treatment. The conference will provide an overview of the process technologies and associated current challenges in industrial practice. Presentation of new theoretical and experimental results on heat treatment of additively manufactured components is explicitly called for.
